Vitality expands serious illness cover on UnderwriteMe platform

Vitality has expanded its distribution on UnderwriteMe’s Protection Platform with the addition of SIC 3X, completing availability of its full Serious Illness Cover (SIC) range alongside its life and income protection products.

Advisers can now quote, compare and submit applications for SIC 1X, SIC 2X and SIC 3X in a single journey, supported by real-time underwriting and a unified application process across multiple insurers.

Vitality’s SIC products cover 74 conditions in full and more than 100 on a severity-based basis, offering partial payouts from 5% to 75% of the sum assured. Customers can receive benefits at earlier stages of diagnosis and make multiple claims if their condition progresses or if they develop further illnesses. All plans include Dementia and FrailCare Cover.

SIC 3X builds on SIC 2X, adding 31 lower-severity conditions to cover a total of 174, including 60 that are unique to Vitality. The product enables customers to claim up to three times the sum assured during the policy term if they experience multiple illnesses.
