"By creating stronger links between firms and reducing manual processes, brokers can access additional services for their clients without creating additional work for themselves."

One Mortgage System (OMS) has launched a new partnership with specialist protection broker The Insurance Surgery, aimed at streamlining referrals for OMS users with clients requiring specialist protection advice.
The partnership aims to introduce a direct integration between the two businesses, allowing users to refer protection cases from within the OMS platform.
OMS says that relevant client information can now be securely transferred to The Insurance Surgery with a single click, which removes the need to rekey data and reduces administration.
The integration comes in response to growing demand from OMS users, many of whom already work with The Insurance Surgery, to support clients with more complex protection requirements, and it forms part of OMS’ wider strategy of creating a more connected adviser ecosystem.
The Insurance Surgery specialises in arranging life and protection cover for individuals who may face challenges securing insurance through mainstream routes, including those with pre-existing medical conditions, hazardous occupations and unusual lifestyle circumstances.

"The most successful brokers are increasingly building ecosystems around their businesses, combining their own expertise with specialist partners who can add value in areas outside their core proposition," Jodie Andrews, head of marketing, sales & partnerships at One Mortgage System, said.
"Protection is a natural example of this, particularly as clients continue to expect broader, more joined-up financial support.
"Technology should make those relationships easier to manage. By creating stronger links between firms and reducing manual processes, brokers can access additional services for their clients without creating additional work for themselves."
Andy Mellor, managing director at The Insurance Surgery, added: "We’re delighted to partner with OMS and make specialist protection support even easier for advisers to access.
"OMS have been incredibly proactive in getting this integration in place, and it’s a really positive step forward as we move one step closer to bridging the accessibility gap in protection and helping more clients get the cover they need, whatever their circumstances."
