"We’re deeply committed to protecting incomes properly for individuals and their families to deliver the financial resilience that they need."

CIExpert has announced the addition of Zurich Insurance to its Income Protection (IP) Insight Zones, making the insurer’s personal & business Life Insurance, Critical Illness Cover (CIC), and personal IP plan available to its subscribers – via the comparison service’s new and enhanced Insight Zone Dashboard.
Last month, Zurich announced various enhancements to its IP proposition, adding "what’s truly needed" to the original product.

Its offering now includes gross income replacement ratio covering 65% of the first £60k of income and 45% of anything above; maximum and minimum benefit guarantees; rehabilitation support; sick pay matching for a wide range of medical professionals; features (Sabbatical Cover, Maternity, Paternity and Adoption Benefit, Own Occupation Guarantee & House Person Benefit) to help protect customers who fall ill when they aren’t working.
“Our updated IP plan delivers much-needed certainty and clarity for both advisers and consumers. We’re delighted to highlight this within CIExpert’s IP Insight Zones. Not only do the Insight Zones provide fully accurate details of all our features and benefits, but they also deliver a deep insight into the value our features and benefits offer consumers,” said Louise Colley, Protection Director at Zurich Insurance.
Paul Roberts, Proposition & Distribution Director at CIExpert, added: “Zurich’s decision to join our IP Insight Zones is further endorsement of the value they deliver to insurers, advisers, and consumers. With every Insight Zone signed off to confirm accuracy, the important role they play in advice, compliance, and Consumer Duty requirements cannot be understated.
“We’re deeply committed to protecting incomes properly for individuals and their families to deliver the financial resilience that they need. That’s why we’re excited to welcome Zurich into our IP Insight Zones as we continue our plans to enhance our IP support for advisers and their customers.”
CIExpert has reported “significant growth” in Insight Zones usage, most recently enabled by its two-way integration with Iress’ The Exchange and Xplan Mortgage platforms.
“This new collaboration delivers a depth of integration that’s the first of its kind. We wanted to go beyond everything else that we’d done previously, or that already exists in the market,” said Warren O’Connell, Head of Business Development for Sourcing at Iress.
