"By taking a more holistic approach to employee rewards, we want to create a culture of wellbeing at our homes which will naturally extend to our residents."
- Andrew Winstanley, CEO of Connaught Care Collection

This partnership means that loved ones of any employee at Connaught Care Collection are now entitled to a lump sum payout of up to 12x their base salary under its Group Life Insurance proposition. This package goes beyond traditional coverage by using digital tools to reward healthy living – including encouragement to adopt healthy habits such as walking, meditating, and cycling.

Via the YuLife app, employees will be able to earn YuCoin, a digital currency, by completing wellness activities. This currency can be used to redeem daily rewards, including vouchers from brands like Nike, M&S, Amazon, and ASOS.

This partnership comes at a challenging time for the adult care sector, with staff turnover in care homes at roughly 24.2% in the UK. There’s also an 8.3% vacancy rate in the sector, accounting for around 131k positions that urgently need filling.

“We’re thrilled to partner with Connaught to transform employee rewards and engagement in the adult care sector – an industry that truly deserves our attention and innovation. Carers play a vital role in our communities, often facing immense challenges,” explained Sammy Rubin, Founder & CEO of YuLife.

He said: “At YuLife, we believe it’s essential to support them holistically, empowering them to lead happier, healthier, and more fulfilling lives. By integrating cutting-edge gamification tools, we’re bringing a fresh approach to wellbeing and rewards, tailored to those who give so much to others.”

Andrew Winstanley, CEO of Connaught Care Collection, added: “We’re delighted to be working with YuLife to offer our team the financial stability and peace of mind they deserve. We want everyone to know that, even if the worst happens, their families will be fully supported.

“For us, the concept of ‘complete care’ isn’t just marketing jargon – it’s a guiding philosophy which informs everything we do. And it means not just caring for our employees financially, but also taking care of their physical, mental, and spiritual health.

“Our message is: despite the many challenges of working in care, this is a meaningful and deeply rewarding profession which has so much to offer. It’s time for the whole industry to start shouting this from the rooftops.”
