Walsham Brothers has joined Paradigm Protect’s panel, giving the latter’s adviser members access to Walsham’s mortgage payment protection insurance (MPPI) range, designed to cover the cost of a policyholder’s mortgage payment for up to two years in the event of accident, sickness or unemployment.
Walsham’s MPPI solutions include no medical underwriting, flexible cover, and premiums which don’t increase with age or following valid claims. The range also includes standalone unemployment cover.
This follows a series of other recent partnerships confirmed by Walsham, including with Auxilium, Next Intelligence, and Sense Network, part of the ASHL Group.
The partnership with Paradigm comes just over a month after Omni Protect was named by Walsham Brothers as its first distribution partner.
"Unemployment cover coupled with accident and sickness insurance, helps meet the need of those consumers who have little or no resilience or fall-back position should certain instances befall them," Mike Allison, director of protection at Paradigm Protect, said.
"Pre-Covid, these products were readily available, but it is only recently they have become affordable enough to build into a bespoke resilience plan alongside more traditional life, IP [income protection] and CI [critical illness] cover.

"We are delighted to be working with Walsham Brothers, who have a significant track record in this market and understand the needs of transparency for consumers when it comes to product specification and claims.
"We are working with our firms to enable them to access quotes via Solution Builder and Iress, and have simplified the agency process for them too.
