Holloway Friendly targets growth with new Board appointment

John Gunn has joined Holloway Friendly as non-executive director.

The specialist income protection provider Holloway Friendly has announced the appointment of John Gunn as non-executive director from February 2026.

Previously chief risk officer and later chief finance officer at Exeter Friendly Society, John has spent more than 25 years working in the insurance industry, with expertise in finance, risk, and governance. He has also spent eight years on Boards, working across Audit, Risk, and Investment Committees.

John joins Holloway Friendly as the Society continues to focus on sustainable, purpose-driven growth.

"We’re delighted to welcome John to our Board," Ben Pears, CEO of Holloway Friendly, said. "His extensive experience and strategic thinking will help guide us as we continue to grow and make a difference to our members."
