"The aim was to create a product which moves beyond just ‘cash’ benefits and provides real value to our customers – we’ve achieved that."
- Courtney Marsh, Chief Pricing & Underwriting Officer at BHSF
Building on the foundations of its Health Cash Plan, BHSF has today announced the launch of its new Health & Wellbeing Plan. This product has twelve core benefits across all monetary services, and seven wellbeing benefits including access to a confidential support helpline, GP helpline, private prescription service, and gym discounts, alongside four new digital services.
BHSF has partnered with multiple added-value providers for “more comprehensive and innovative healthcare coverage.” These partners offer policyholders access to digital dentistry support from Toothfairy, digital physiotherapy assessment, triage, and support from EQL, online optical screening from Ocushield, and digital skin screening and support from SkinVision.
The not-for-profit has also standardised 100% cash reimbursement across all monetary services for its Health & Wellbeing Plan. Furthermore, BHSF has separated prescriptions and inoculation/vaccination benefits and ensured that there’s no limitation on use of the GP helpline.
BHSF’s Health & Wellbeing Plan offers five levels of cover across employer-funded plans. For new clients with 200+ employees and broker switch business which exceeds £20k annual premium, it will provide tailored plans and pricing. Other organisations will be eligible for BHSF’s community-rated plan.
“We’re thrilled to bring to market our new Health & Wellbeing Plan. It not only provides better value for existing policyholders but marks a real improvement to BHSF’s wellbeing services,” explained Stuart Hayhurst, Group CEO of BHSF.
He said: “We believe this new plan will allow more people to be proactive about their health & wellbeing, as well as provide more financial relief. We’re delighted to play a part in encouraging people to think differently about their health and wellbeing.”
Courtney Marsh, Chief Pricing & Underwriting Officer at BHSF, added: “Our focus with the new Health & Wellbeing Plan was to create something that would support the current and emerging problems with accessing healthcare.
“Partnering with Toothfairy, EQL, Ocushield, and SkinVision provides digital-first services, which allows policyholders to potentially tackle their health concerns quickly or support them to make informed decisions about what to do next. The aim was to create a product which moves beyond just ‘cash’ benefits and provides real value to our customers – we’ve achieved that,” he concluded.
