"We’ve been working hard to preserve the robustness of our Home Insurance panel during a time of market volatility that has seen several insurers withdraw from the personal lines market."
- Joe Bishop, Head of Insurer Relations at Paymentshield

These additions further reinforce Paymentshield’s Home Insurance panel’s underwriting capabilities and breadth of coverage – ultimately ensuring that advisers can provide quotes to a higher proportion of customers. The duo joins AXA, Allianz, and Integra – with further expansions to the panel expected in early 2025.

Ageas UK provides personal lines insurance to over 4mn customers in the UK. Its claims service operates in the UK and offers a 24/7 emergency helpline for customers. Meanwhile, Tradex’s Home Insurance policies are underwritten by Markerstudy, which also handles claims via its 24/7 helpline.

Alongside these additions, Paymentshield has confirmed that most of the panel now operates on an Insurer Hosted Pricing (IHP) model, which allows for ‘real-time pricing’.

“We’ve been working hard to preserve the robustness of our Home Insurance panel during a time of market volatility that has seen several insurers withdraw from the personal lines market. The strength and depth of our panel makes it easier for advisers to offer a quote to every customer, supporting our ultimate mission to ensure every home is properly protected,” explained Joe Bishop, Head of Insurer Relations at Paymentshield.

He said: “Every insurer on our panel has to meet our carefully considered criteria, so advisers can rest assured that their customers will receive a brilliant experience if they do ever need to make a claim.”

Ben Travis, Head of Strategic Accounts at Ageas UK, added: “At Ageas, we share Paymentshield’s dedication to ensuring every homeowner is fully protected. We’re thrilled to bring our expertise to Paymentshield’s panel.”

“Joining Paymentshield’s panel is an exciting opportunity for Tradex to expand our offering to customers through Paymentshield’s impressive network of advisers. We’re delighted to provide protection and support more customers through our comprehensive range of products and services, adding to the coverage options on offer via Paymentshield,” concluded Sid Gulati, Chief Underwriting Officer at Tradex.
